Government announces major cash injection for green technology and development as part of Green Industrial Revolution.
The Industrial Decarbonisation Research and Innovation Centre (IDRIC) has today, Monday, 24 May, received £20m from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to be virtually based at Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh campus. It will be a world-leading, high-impact research and innovation centre, acting as the national focal point and international gateway for UK industrial decarbonisation.

Six projects across the UK will receive a share of £8 million in government funding as part of a drive to create the world’s first net-zero emissions industrial zone by 2040.
