IDRIC - Video Showcase: Welsh translations

IDRIC Video Showcase

The project showcases the diversity of roles, opportunities and individuals involved in industrial decarbonisation research. The aim of the videos is to encourage and support subject and career choices for schoolchildren. We present 8 films here with Welsh translations.

When learners and teachers access these messages through Welsh, they connect more deeply with the opportunities ahead, strengthening confidence, curiosity and a sense of belonging.

Using the Welsh language in this way makes the films more accessible, more relevant and more impactful, and it sends a powerful message that our language, identity and communities are central to the future of innovation in Wales.”

Cyfres Fideos IDRIC

Mae’r prosiect yn amlygu’r amrywiaeth o ran y rolau, y cyfleoedd a’r unigolion sy’n gysylltiedig ag ymchwil datgarboneiddio diwydiannol. Nod y fideos yw annog a chefnogi dewisiadau pynciol a gyrfaol i ddisgyblion ysgol. Yma, rydyn ni’n cyflwyno 8 ffilm gyda chyfieithiadau Cymraeg.

“Mae darparu’r ffilmiau hyn o fodelau rôl yn y Gymraeg yn llawer mwy nag ymarfer cyfieithu — mae’n sicrhau bod pob person ifanc yng Nghymru’n gallu ymgysylltu’n llawn â storïau ysbrydolgar am ymchwil gynaliadwy a diwydiant gwyrdd yn yr iaith sy’n teimlo’n naturiol iddyn nhw. Pan fydd dysgwyr ac athrawon yn cael eu hamlygu i’r negeseuon hyn yn Gymraeg, maen nhw’n cysylltu’n ddyfnach â’r cyfleoedd sydd ar y gorwel, ac mae hynny’n atgyfnerthu hyder, chwilfrydedd ac ymdeimlad o berthyn.

Mae defnyddio’r Gymraeg yn y modd yma’n gwneud y ffilmiau’n fwy hygyrch, yn fwy perthnasol ac yn fwy sbardunol, ac mae’n cyfleu neges bwerus bod ein hiaith, ein hunaniaeth a’n cymunedau wrth galon dyfodol arloesi yng Nghymru.”
