Workforce for Net Zero: Skills, Planning and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

This report synthesises research from nine projects to examine the critical role of a skilled, diverse and inclusive workforce in delivering the UK’s industrial decarbonisation goals and achieving a net zero economy. Meeting this ambition requires significant investment in people as well as innovation, technology and infrastructure. Research is essential in understanding the gap between current and required workforce within the energy sector and energy-intensive industries, as well as in assessing how successfully the skills pipeline is aligning with future needs.
