Workforce planning for industrial decarbonisation – Report Launch
IDRIC-ECITB and roundtable was held at the RSA House in London on the 22nd Nov. This event was part of the IDRIC policy forum series and took a deep dive into the skills and training needed to deploy and scale-up industrial decarbonisation projects. The key message was that skills are, and will be, the limiting factor to decarbonising UK industry and there is an urgent need to scale up interventions to increase capacity and skill development. The panel consisted of representatives from DfE, BEIS, BP, TUC, Baker Dearing Educational Trust, CATCH and University of Chester, who brought insight of the activities occurring in this space to develop capacity and skills. The event coincided with the launch of IDRIC skills project.
