As part of the IDRIC secondment programme, the Environment Agency is seeking two researchers; one working in the Chief Scientist’s Group and the second in the Climate Change and Energy (CC&E) team. Both secondments will involve using research expertise to provide evidence to inform strategic planning for net zero and support EA’s regulatory and advisory roles.
As the seconded researchers you will build relationships with a diverse range of policymakers and regulators who are at the forefront of implementing net zero plans. This would offer an excellent opportunity to expand your network, contextualise research skills into a regulatory framework and build skills/knowledge/perspective to broaden career pathways.
To apply, you will need to have strong research experience in any area of industrial decarbonisation and have excellent analytical and communication skills.
The secondment is for a minimum of 6 months and there is flexibility to work from home, hybrid or in an EA office.

Deadline: 7th June 2023 10am.
