Diversity to decarbonise: Promoting EDI in the future workforce

July 2024

This report explores the challenges faced by industry in increasing the diversity of their workforce in terms of gender, ethnicity and other attributes. It considers how, despite significant resources committed to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives, organisations often find it difficult to attract and retain the diverse talent they need and this, in turn, affects their ability to respond to the challenges of transitioning to net zero. This project created a framework for the robust evaluation of the effectiveness of EDI interventions and produced a prototype web tool to present evidence in a systematic and easily accessible format.
