CC(U)S Futures 2: Visions from within the sector
Spring 2024
This report examines CC(U)S imaginaries from various people working in the CC(U)S sector. The stories were generated through Place-Based Participatory Speculative Fiction workshops held in Scotland, England and Wales between March and June 2024. Participants included early career and established academic researchers as well as people working in industry from apprentice level to middle management. They were not specifically prompted on CC(U)S but engaged with discussions of place-specific industrial and technological change in previous eras. The stories reveal key similarities and differences from the previous report CC(U)S Futures 1, emphasising the role of historical and sociocultural factors in shaping CC(U)S perceptions.
