This project aims to seize the economic opportunity and fast-track the route to market of advanced cost-competitive sorbent-based capture technologies for industrial decarbonisation.
The measurable objectives are the development of the following:
This project will accelerate and create impact by:
The main impacts and outcomes of the project can be classified as economic, R&D policy-making and knowledge-based/capacity building, and include:
1) identification of optimal, i.e. most cost-efficient, capture technologies for different CO2 sources/sinks combinations identified in the industrial clusters
2) fast-track the deployment of cost-competitive advanced capture technologies
3) establishing a workflow for benchmarking and comparison with other capture technologies
4) transferring learning by providing training and an open-access digital platform
More information about the open-access digital platform can be found here.
