Join us for MaxStoreUK’s webinar series hosted by BGS and IDRIC.
We are holding three one-hour, place-based webinars on MaxStoreUK CO2 and hydrogen geological storage opportunities
This webinar will highlight past learnings from previous subsurface hydrogen and carbon storage research projects and share new updates to enable cross-sector collaboration and accelerate industrial decarbonisation for the North-West England and Peak clusters and the wider UK. Speakers from BGS, Heriot-Watt University and the University of Manchester will present their research, followed by a short Q&A session.
- Maxine Akhurst, BGS: East Irish Sea CO2 storage – CO2Stored 2.0 updates and planned 2.1 refresh
- Johnathan Pearce, BGS: UK capacity for imported CO2 storage & East Irish Sea appraisal timeline
- Omid Shahrokhi, Heriot-Watt University: Scaling up hydrogen storage for UK industrial clusters
- Lin Ma, University of Manchester: Enabling grid-scale hydrogen storage in porous rocks: An experimental perspective
- John Williams, BGS: Central North Sea frontier for CO2 storage
