The UK’s Industrial Decarbonisation Research & Innovation Centre (IDRIC) and Mission Innovation Net-Zero Industries Mission (MI NZI) invite you to Industrial Decarbonisation: International pathways to net zero industries, 8 December 2023, Heriot-Watt Campus, Dubai
As part of Heriot-Watt University‘s Climate Hub, running alongside COP28, IDRIC and MI NZI are facilitating a dialogue between academic, industrial and policy stakeholders to address the most pressing global barriers to decarbonising industry and accelerate our collective transition to net zero.
We are running two workshops throughout the day:
10.00-12.30: Technology Innovation to and from Emerging Economies: Deep Decarbonisation of Industry
A workshop to identify measures, mechanisms and actions to facilitate and accelerate technology transfer to and from emerging economies.
14.00-16.30: Place-Based Collaboration for Industrial Decarbonisation: Sharing International Experience
A workshop bringing together perspectives from across the globe, of those working to decarbonise industrial clusters and regions, to share best practice and lessons learned internationally.

Heriot Watt University’s world class research is focused on addressing global challenges and delivering benefits for society.
The University will be hosting a Climate Hub at its Dubai campus to coincide with COP28, hosted by the UAE. The Global Hub will offer a collaborative space for visitors to work, host meetings and attend a series of events and exhibitions.
The Hub will also feature a Research Exhibition showcasing international collaboration and longstanding connectivity to business and industry. IDRIC is pleased to be part of this exhibition, demonstrating how our research is supporting innovation to build green industrial futures.
